I am a young woman concerned about the Education and Scholarship program in Antigua for the future. It has been brought to my attention that the Antiguan government has granted scholarship to many young individuals that a 10:3 ratio of the students never return home to lend their profession to this small island called Antigua; I was just wondering what would ever be done to stop this reenactment. I am not mad at the students who never return, because the professions that many Antiguan students pursue in the job market aren’t currently available in Antigua. For example, I have a friend who was given a scholarship to Mexico to study industrial engineer; I think it’s actually in the field of designing as well as making of motor cars and jets. Would she be able to work in Antigua? I guess not. If someone can shed some light on this issue please feel free to do so.
